Choral Accompanist

Leonard Middle School seeks a piano accompanist for an 8th grade chorus class which meets Tuesdays from 8:35 to 9:50. Applicants should have advanced piano skills and enjoy working with children. Accompanying experience is preferred, but not required.

Intervention and Extension Educational Technician III Position

RSU 34 and Leonard Middle School seek a skilled, student-focused, and motivated applicant to serve 7th grade students as an Ed. Tech III. In this role the Ed Tech will work with the 7th grade team of teachers to provide interventions and extensions for students, in consultation with a literacy specialist and the Chapter 104 (gifted & talented) specialist.
LMS is a middle school serving approximately 300 six, seventh and eighth graders. There is a strong culture of communication, collaboration, and cooperation among staff, students, and families. The school fosters student growth through unique and varied experiences for the students, strong instructional programming, and dedicated staff doing “what’s best for students.” The following expectations are part of this position:
Values and accepts children for themselves
Believes that children are capable and competent learners despite challenges
Collaborates openly and productively with classroom teachers and other staff
Seeks out and uses appropriate resources
Plans daily small group and individual intervention lessons tailored to students’ literacy needs
Supports a co-teaching model within the classroom
Engages students in meaningful literacy activities and extensions
Maintains notes and data about student progress and shares results with staff and families
Is knowledgeable about the typical and atypical needs of students

Position Requirements: Experience with literacy instruction preferred
Educational Technician III certification

Old Town High School:
JV Girls Basketball Coach

Old Town High School is seeking a qualified JV Girls Basketball Coach.
Must have Maine DOE Fingerprint Certification (CHRC) or be able to obtain it before coaching begins.
