RSU #34 seeks talented Ed Tech I's & III's that are positive, flexible and willing to learn within a variety of educational settings. Preference will be given to those with prior experience or training.
Qualified candidates would have applicable Maine Department of Education Ed Tech Certification and CHRC (fingerprint and background check).

Qualifications:
RSU #34 is looking for a special education teacher with experience providing specially designed instruction in literacy and mathematics at the elementary level. The candidate needs to have knowledge and experience with special education processes and regulations. The ability to work in a fast paced educational environment and to communicate and collaborate with families and colleagues is a must.
Certification and CHRC are required, 282 preferred.
Salary Range: Based on education and experience

Leonard Middle School:
 

Date Available: September 2018-November 2018
RSU 34 is looking for a highly qualified candidate for a Long-Term Sub for a Special Education Teacher position to co-teach 8th grade ELA in addition to teaching specially designed math classes at Leonard Middle School. This individual will preferably hold a 282 Maine certification endorsement and have experience working with middle level students with disabilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to guide children toward the fulfillment of their potential for cognitive, social and emotional growth and maturation. Key characteristics of the successful applicant include knowledge of special education regulations; strong skills working with students, families, and colleagues; attention to detail and strong classroom management skills. Appropriate teaching certification and CHRC required.

Special Education Teacher grades 9-12
RSU #34 seeks a talented Special Education Teacher starting in the 2018-2019 school year to work with high school students with special needs in the areas of literacy, math, social skills and executive functioning. Experience working with students and instructional programs at this grade level is preferred. Must hold a valid Maine DOE CHRC and 282 Certification.
