Skateboard club is one of the many offerings during our EEE, exploration, enrichment, extended learning opportunities. A passionate student approached a teacher with an idea and together, they made it a reality! Shout out to Daymion and Mr. Jay. And don’t worry, they all wear protective equipment.
Lots of exciting things happening at Leonard Middle School today. 6th graders heading to Portland to visit the Osher Map Library and GMRI, 8th grade Career Fair at UTC, and then “Stuff That Matters” presentations all afternoon! Another day in the life an LMS student.
We just had a fire alarm at the middle school, it was a false alarm. All clear and back to learning.

Our LMS phone system is down at the moment. The phone company is currently working to restore service.
Baseball/Softball Schedule Update: We try hard to avoid scheduling conflicts at LMS. Due to the weather and Brewer hosting a high school prelim game, our night games @ Brewer will now be played on 6/3 at 6:30pm. Our game vs Bucksport has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but mother nature seems to have her own schedule this spring. Thank you.
LMS Open House is this Thursday, 5/22 from 6-7pm. Grades 6 and 7 will be hosting an open house and showcase. 8th grade will be discussing the Camp Jordan trip and requests that all parent volunteers attend.
LMS Athletics today 5/21: Almquist Track Championship 3:30 at OTHS and spectators should arrive after 3pm, NO Baseball practice due to field conditions. Softball practice is still on today.
Due to potential weather and field conditions, today's LMS BB and SB games @ Doughty are canceled with no make up date. There will be no practice today as well.
ALMQUIST Meet Update - due to predicted weather and severe conditions - the MS ALMQUIST track meet has been moved to Tuesday, May 21st at 3:30 PM. Track practice will be at LMS today from 2:50-4 pm.
Though the weather appears to be clearing, we will need to cancel baseball and softball games that were scheduled for this afternoon due to field conditions at Cohen. We will do our best to reschedule but do not have a date at this time.
Track practice will be cancelled today, 5/17. Baseball and softball games at Cohen are still on at this time but I will provide an update on those games by 1pm today. Fingers crossed for clearing weather in Bangor.

Following the tragic death of Detective Ben Campbell in early April , 7th grade student Emma Sirois encouraged the students at LMS to send cards of encouragement and sympathy to the Maine State Police Force.
