Spring Sports opened today with Tennis hosting F.A. at OTHS Community Courts, weather was perfect for sports in Maine today - Boys with a 1-4 loss and the Girls with a 0-5 loss. Next up is WA on Thursday!


Today was a great day for OTHS - with our student body fed BBQ style, we set out as a huge team to welcome our campus to spring with a traditional community clean-up. Staff, students, and all came together to work as one to make OTHS great! Welcome to April break Yotes!

The Marksmanship team finished their season with a first place team victory. Keeara Dutton led the Coyotes in scoring with a third place individual finish. Cadence Freeman had a fifth place finish with Max Chapman and Chris Horne rounding out the team scoring with 11th and 12th place finishes. Also competing were Kevin Murray (15), Izzy Bouchard (23), and Bohdi Ellis (30). Nine teams from eight northeastern schools competed with 47 individual shooters firing.

to the Old Town High School Jazz Ensemble with a Gold performance at the State Jazz Festival held last weekend with a score of 96.7 out of a 100. Outstanding solo's were: Joey Porter-Alto Sax, Ayla Lawence -Lead Trumpet, Aiden Palmer-Bass Guitar, Gabe Curtis-Trombone, Josh Harvey -Drums
OTHS was the highest score of the afternoon and evening festival and earned its 12th State Championship in school history! So proud of these kids for coming back from 2 years of not being able to play their instruments due to Covid. The Old Town High School Concert Band will be performing it's second Concert of the semester this Thursday at 7:00pm in the Mackenzie Gym.

Our Sophomores had the opportunity to hear from Noelle O’Clair from UTC on all of the programs that they offer. Our students did an amazing job and represented OTHS extremely well.
UTC Tours - Permission slips and Tour paperwork is due next Monday (3/21) by noon. We do need both papers. One gives us permission to transport you and the other is the programs that you'd like to visit. Remember - the deadline for the permissions slips is a firm deadline and we cannot accept late paperwork. There are extra copies of both forms in the guidance office.

The OTHS JROTC Marksmanship Team has done well this year. The team won the Northern New England League Championship with Cadence Freeman taking first and Keeara Dutton 3rd individually. For the Hermon competition, they placed second with Cadence Freeman second and Keeara Dutton third individually. Old Town High School would like to congratulate junior Patrick Sylantys for tying for 6th place among juniors in the Eastern Maine Math League and tying for 16th place across all grades represented in the league. Not many competitors break 100 points total each year and Patrick did this in just 4 Meets... Congratulations to Patrick Sylantys!

Good evening Yote Community - This evening at the special RSU 34 School Board meeting, the board voted 7-0 to make masks optional – effective immediately. Student and Staff choice to still mask will be respected and supported.


Congratulations to OT Indoor Track team members junior Corbin Flewelling in the High Jump, senior Chester Turner in the Long Jump & 55M, junior Grace Willey in the Hurdles and senior Chelsey Cote in the Shot Put who participated in the New England Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet today down in Boston. The four of them competed against some very tough competition from all over New England to bring a very good Indoor Track season to an end!
