
Breaking LMS Athletic News. Due to field construction, the LMS football game on Tuesday 10/8 has been moved to Orono HS at 6:00 under the lights!


Coyote FH running away with a 2-0 W at JB this afternoon - Fueled by goals from Rubster and Liiiiiiiiiiinds M., with assists from NatNat and Lindsssss.... Solid team effort including A-money between the pipes! A quick turnaround for the kids with the sticks as they head to Brewa tomorrow!


Finishing out the week of Soccer ⚽️ at Victory Field - the girls played host to our friends from across town and the North - JB came over to fill the JV game and once again the girls played 60 min of 7v7 with now subs! Great Effort! 8-1 L - Varsity wrapped up the night with a physical strong played game v. Caribou - the Birthday Girl Rhi Rhi with the only Goal moving the Yotes to 4-4 on the season with a 1-0 W


LMS Cross Country was in action again today as they made the journey down to Nokomis. Top ten finishes were as follows: Izzy Howard 8th, Irvin Bathelder 8th, Lucy Heitmann 4th and Alex Gelo 3rd! Rest up team, Championship meets start next week!


It's that time of year as we swing🏌️♂️into the final competitions of the year for teams and first up to the tee (always) was the OTHS Golf ⛳️ Program.Thank You to this group of seniors who many built this program to what it is today! Continuing with a busy week on the pitch for the Yotes, tonight featured guest from the North from Caribou - JV had an eventful game that featured strong play from both sides - ended in a 5-3 L - Varsity showed some life with some good play against a fast Caribou team, small victories 10-2 L



LMS Cross Country compete in their only home meet of the season this afternoon. Top 10 finishes were taken by: Lucy Heitmann 6th, Izzy Howard 5th, Irvin Bathelder 8th and Alex Gelo 2nd. Great job team! Shout to Coach White and the high school team for their help today!


LMS Soccer teams traveled to Bangor vs the Doughty Bulldogs. The boys are coming home with a 3-1 loss. The girls pulled off a comeback late in the game to win 2-1! Teams are back in action Thursday under the lights at Victory Field!


The winning streak has finally been broken the LMS Field Hockey team. The Nokomis Warriors came to town and battled our Coyotes to a final score of 4-0. The team is home again on Monday vs. Brewer


Breaking LMS Athletic news! Due to LMS soccer field conditions the following game changes have been made for Thursday 10/3.
LMS Football vs. Reeds Brook at Victory Field 3:30 (was 4:00)
LMS Soccer vs. Cohen, Boys 5:30 Girls 6:45 at Victory Field (was 3:00/4:15 at LMS)


It was a tough evening on the pitch for our Lady Coyotes. The JV lost by a score of 9-1 and the varsity fell to a talented Ellsworth squad 3-0.
In less than 48 hours, the Caribou Vikings sail into town.
The JV begin at 4pm on Wednesday
and the Varsity kickoff at 6pm.

Events for Sept. 30th Week


Wrapping up an awesome week of events for the Yotes was the athletic teams of Field Hockey 🏑 playing to a 1-1 Tie at Orono, Girls Soccer with a heart breaking 3-2 L to PI, and the boys having a hard time with the Wildcats with an 8-0 L - Very exciting week this week for the Yotes, the learning community, and the People of Old Town - Thank you all involved, those that volunteered and those that supported our programs! Coyote Nation is Strong! 💪




The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams hosted the 74th Sectional Cross Country Invitational today at the Victory Field Athletic Comlex with 16 schools competing. It was also senior day, as we recognized our five seniors, Lida Kanoti (4 years), Hayna Francis (4 years) and Jesse Bouchard, Kevin Murray and Cameron Jones (all 1 Year each) for their dedication and commitment to our Cross Country program. In the meet, the girls were unable to figure in the team scoring, but received individual finishes from Lily Heitmann in 13th with a course personal best, Lida Kanoti in 18th and Liz Preble in 24th with a course personal best. The boys team finished 8th, led by Hayna Francis in 19th with a course personal best, CJ Yanush in 28th and Alex Roach in 42nd, while Jesse Bouchard in 68th and Kevin Murray in 81st finished out the team scoring for the boys. The teams travel to Belfast next Saturday for the prestigious Festival of Champions Meet.








Overall team effort and collective School Community support brought the Coyote Football 🏈 team the second win of the season - Moving to 2-2 with a 40-27 W against John Bapst on a rain soaked night! Many thanks to the Cheer Team, JROTC, our crazy student section, and fans for making the trek over to Hermon for the night and braving the weather! Special thanks to Rick Sinclair and Hermon Athletics for use of the field and facility! Onto next Friday Night!

Todays LMS home Cross Country meet has been postponed to Tuesday 10/1.


Some entertaining JV Soccer ⚽️ games tonight played by the Coyotes v. Central - Girls team again faced another game with no subs and played a hard fought 60 minute game, 3-2 L, Boys played a solid and consistent 80 minute game and came away with 5-1 W! Back in action Saturday!



The six seniors on the girls' soccer team, Ally C, Rhiannon B, Mikayla J, Ava B, Sadie M, and Savanna L, had the opportunity to attend the Second Annual Female Athlete Leadership Conference, which was held at St. Joseph’s College and was run by the Strong Girls United Foundation. Over 275 female athletes from various sports from all over Maine attended today at St. Joeseph College. The girls will bring back leadership skills and tactics to the team and school community!
