A couple of JV games and matches at OTHS on this beautiful afternoon - JV Tennis 🎾 dominating the courts this afternoon as they welcomed Hermon JV Tennis - While JV Baseball ⚾️ batted around the diamond with Orono in town 7 - 0 W - more tomorrow but weather is a factor!
Tennis 🎾 welcomed the Ponies to the OT Community Courts for a nice night of tennis - Boys continued the winning with a 5-0 W and girls battled to a 2-3 L - more matches this week with weather being a factor!
Hawks 🦅 flew into town for some baseball ⚾️ and Softball 🥎 at Victory Fields today... Softball could not recover from a 3rd inning grand slam by the Hawks 0-5L - Baseball came out swinging and found the hits moving onto a 7-2W - Bangor in town Friday!
Athletic Events - May 6th Week
The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams hosted Central, Hermon, John Bapst and Penquis today in a regular season meet at the Victory Field Track Complex. The girls team had another strong day, finishing first overall for the second time this season, led by Kylee Murray with individual wins in the Shot Put, Discus & Javelin, Lucy Veilleux with wins in the Long Jump & Triple Jump, Ely Briggs with a 1st in High Jump and 2nd's in Long Jump & 200, Olivia Lizzotte with a win in the 100 and 2nd's in the Triple Jump & Javelin. They also received 1st place finishes from Emma Mushero in Racewalk, Olivia Barthelemy in the 400 and 2nd place finishes from Ari Murray in Racewalk, Lily Heitmann in the 1600 and Ruby Whitmore in the 300 Hurdles. The relay teams also had a good day, receiving 1st place finishes from the 4x100 team of Lizzotte, Libby Saucier, Whitmore & Veilleux and the 4x400 team of
Mikayla Johnston, Briggs, Whitmore & Barthelemy and a 2nd place from the 4x800 team of Lexi Wesley, Chloe Henry, Phoebe Yerxa & Heitmann.
The boys team, which finished up in 3rd place in the meet, was led by Hayna Francis, who finished 1st in the Long Jump with a personal best and 3rd in both the 1600 & 800M Runs, Tommy King with a 1st in High Jump, Killian Pottle with 2nd place finishes in the Shot Put & Discus and they also received a 2nd place finish from the 4x400 Relay team of CJ Yanush, Marcus Cote, Andrew Wolfertz & Francis. The teams travel to MDI for their next meet next Friday afternoon.
OTHS Tennis 🎾 with the MPA Singles at OTHS - 3/4 OTHS Singles Qualified for the next Round at Bates - Plourde, Plourde, and May all qualified, Madden lost in a tight match... 5/17 at Bates College!
A little baseball/Softball action welcoming our friends from the North, Caribou, for a doubleheader - Softball with some quick 3 -inning games 15-0W and 17-0W - Baseball made it more interesting with a 9-2 W and a 4-3 W in the bottom 7th - Hawks in town on Monday....
PVC Tennis 🎾 Doubles qualifier today at multiple sites across Maine - OT played host to the boys doubles, while the girls went to Sterns HS - Girls had some great efforts and Caron/Mickle team made it to the finals, but lost - Boys teams faced some tough competition and Stoup/Austin team made it to qualify and move to the next round!
A couple Friday afternoon games at the OT complex as Baseball and Softball welcome John Bapst - Boys move to 3-1 with a 3-1 W with some clutch pitching from Dickey and Dodge - Softball moves to 2-2 with a 13-3 W with a solid start from E-Money on the mound! Teams back in action tomorrow with a very busy day at the OT complex!

LMS Baseball and Softball teams held their home openers yesterday afternoon vs. Doughty. The girls had a great come back in the 7th inning, but it wasn't enough, ending with a 12-7 loss. The boys had a commanding win, with a combined no hitter thrown by Tyler Mahaney and Charlie Degrasse. Both teams are home again Tuesday vs. Ellsworth.
Yotes welcoming MDI to the Community Courts for some Tuesday afternoon tennis - both teams move to 3-1 on the season and both Coyote teams win 3-2 against MDI!
LMS Baseball and Softball teams traveled to Cohen for their first games of the season yesterday. Both teams battled hard but came away with a pair of losses. Teams are back in action Wednesday at home vs. Doughty.

The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams were on the road today in an 8 team meet at Cameron Stadium in Bangor, with the girls team turning in a strong runner-up finish to a very good Bangor girls team, while the boys team wound up 4th behind Bangor, Presque Isle and Ft. Fairfield. Leading the way for the girls were, Lucy Veilleux with 1st place finishes in the Long Jump, with a New School Record jump of 17'-3.50", and Triple Jump, Kylee Murray with a 1st in Shot Put, 3rd in Javelin & 4th in Discus, Ely Briggs 1st in High Jump & 3rd in Triple Jump, a 1st from the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, Liz Preble, Chloe Henry & Lily Heitmann and 2nd place finishes from Olivia Barthelemy in the 400M Run, Ruby Whitmore in the 300M Hurdles, Emma Mushero in the 1600M Racewalk and the 4x100M Relay team of Olivia Lizzotte, Libby Saucier, Whitmore & Veilleux and the 4x400M Relay team of Mikayla Johnston, Briggs, Henry & Barthelemy.
For the boys, Hayna Francis led the way with 1st place finishes in the Long Jump, and the 400M & 800M Runs, while Grayson Thibeault finished 1st in Triple Jump, 2nd in Long Jump and Tied for 2nd in High Jump and they also received a 2nd place finish from the 4x100M Relay team of Andrew Wolfertz, Francis, CJ Yanush & Thibeault. The teams are back home next Saturday, with a 2PM start time.
And completing the Ellsworth 🧹 for athletics today - OTHS tennis 🎾 in action, Boys with a 5-0 W and moving to 2-0, Girls with a battle 3-2 W and moving to 1-1! Couple of matches next week!

A couple of good home openers for the Yote JV teams as Baseball played host to M.A. and Softball 🥎 v. ELL. Softball made it fun coming back in the final inning, but fell short 8-6 L - Baseball started slow and finished strong with a game shortened 19-5 W.... onto the next!
Todays LMS Baseball and Softball games have been postponed to June 7. Neither team will practice after school today.
