
Winter in May brought us a tennis 🎾 match on the Island today as the Trojans welcomed the Coyotes. Boys team move to 1-10 with a 0-5 L, Girls team move to 8-3 with a 4-1 W - Last matches of the season coming soon at Hermon


Tonight, I feel a tradition was born with the first ever Green v. White game hosted at OTHS's Victory Fields - JV Baseball welcomed the challenge from LMS as the future stars of OTHS competed for bragging rights - JV Team (White) took the first game! Nothing like 30 degree May 17th baseball, but all was in good fun to promote the future of OTHS Baseball ⚾️


OTHS Baseball and Softball on the road to Hawk Country - Baseball moves to 8-2 on the season with a 8-0 W against Hermon - Softball not so lucky with a 4-2 L and moves to 6-4 on the season. Next up are the Senior games for the Softball and Baseball on Thursday - Ceremony will be on the Baseball field prior to the games...


OTHS Tennis across the river and down the road a bit to Orono HS - Boys fought hard to a 3-2 L and move to 1-9 for the season, Girls team showed strong and came away with a 3-2 W and move to 7-3 on the year!


OTHS - events for May 15th Week - Changes from the regular schedules!


The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams competed in a 4-Way meet at Hampden on Friday, and the girls' team came away with another first place team finish, getting individual wins from Grace Willey in the 100M Hurdles & the High Jump, Dominique Reinzo in the Shot Put & Javelin, Libby Saucier in the 100M Dash, Taylor Loring in the 400M, Lexi Wesley in the 800M, Cassidy Rackliffe in the 1600M, Ari Murray in the Racewalk and the 4x100M Relay team of Olivia Lizzotte, Kayleigh Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet & Saucier. The boys team came away with a strong 2nd place team finish behind host Hampden, and were led by Corbin Flewelling with wins in the Long Jump with a personal best jump of 22'-1" and the Triple Jump, James Cote with wins in the High Jump & Javelin and Spencer Gordon with a win in the 1600M in a personal best time of 4:40.60. The teams return home next Saturday at noon to end the
regular season with their senior meet.


Just a couple of baseball and a softball game on this fine spring day - Varsity teams hosted Bangor at Victory Fields for 2 great games - Varsity Baseball lost 5-0, Varsity Softball fell 4-3 - JV baseball at Mansfield Stadium had the JV Baseball team pull out a 6-1 W - Teams back in action next week...


Due to low numbers and injuries, JV Softball 🥎 @ Bangor is postponed to another date - date will be communicated at another time.


Unique night for the JV Baseball and Softball teams on the road to Ellsworth Eagles - Unique because both teams picked up solid victories by the same score - 🐺 beat the 🦅 17-3 in both games! Bangor on the road tomorrow for the JV Coyotes!


A couple of games on this nice Tuesday afternoon at OTHS - The Trojans were in town to face the ⚾️/ 🥎 teams and the Yotes came out on top - Baseball moving to 7-1 with a 6-2W against MDI - Softball moves to 5-2 with a 4-0W against MDI - We welcome the Rams on Friday!


Annie Roach is the 1st winner of the Chris Branch Memorial Scholarship. A $1000 dollar scholarship awarded to a senior that competes at the state meet. The woman next to Annie is Laura Branch, Chris' widow and OT alum class of 77


Last Home match for the Coyote Tennis team today v. F.A. - first they finished the "hailed" out match on 4/19 - We celebrated the Seniors with a 0-5 Men's Team loss and a 3-2 Girls Team Win! Thank You to the Senior members of our team, the years of dedication helped to grow the program to what it is today!






⚾️ and 🥎 on the road to the coastal rivals Ellsworth - Ellsworth got the best of Softball as the Coyotes lost 6-2, But Baseball walked away with a 8-2W with a Brendan Mahaney 2 run homer! - Quick turnaround for the Yotes as they host MDI tomorrow!

MPA Singles Qualifying was hosted at OTHS yesterday - OTHS had multiple players participating - Karma Ruggeri, Teddy Stoup, and Kaiden Plourde all played very well, but lost in their opening matches, Kameron Plourde made it to his bracket final, but lost the final match - Sadie May was the only OTHS tennis to win both qualifying matches and make it to the MPA Single Tournament on Friday at Bates! Great showing by all!


The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams were at home today in a seven team meet, which included Orono and John Bapst. The girls team came away with a dominant first place team finish, led by individual 1st place finishes from Dominique Reinzo in the Shot Put & Discus, Kayleigh Johnston in the 400M, Libby Saucier in the 200M, Olivia Lizzotte in the Triple Jump, Ely Briggs in the High Jump and also received 1st place finishes in all three relays, the 4x100M with Lizzotte, Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet & Saucier, the 4x400M with Taylor Loring, Karina Dumond, Alexis Wesley & Johnston and the 4x800M with Wesley, Cassidy Rackliffe, Lida Kanoti & Loring. The boys team finished up in 3rd place behind a strong Orono team and John Bapst, and were led by 1st place finishes from Corbin Flewelling in the 100M Dash, the Long Jump & the Triple Jump and James Cote with a first in the High Jump and a 2nd
in the 110M Hurdles. The teams are on the road at Hampden next Friday.


Couple of games played today in Orono - Both Coyote teams moved to 5-1 with commanding W's at Orono - Baseball ⚾️ winning 7-1 and Softball 🥎 winning 7-0 - Big games on Monday traveling to the Eagles!


OTHS Tennis is postponed today due to weather and court conditions - Tennis will play tomorrow, 4:30 PM v. JB at the OT Community Courts.


Today's JV Softball/Baseball Game at Hermon has been postponed due to field conditions - The date for play is now Monday, May 15th @ Hermon HS at 4:30 PM - Bus 2:30 PM


Well, if you missed it you missed 2 unbelievable games that netted the Yote 🥎 and ⚾️ games big time wins against the Hawks - Softball went into extra-innings with the Cody/Evans combo coming up big with the go ahead run for the 2-1W - Baseball came down to the final inning as the Coyotes faced a 2-run deficit, with a Moore's single to win the game 6-5 - both teams move to 4-1 on the year and face Orono on Friday at
Orono.
