OTHS Cheer had their first showcase of the season at the MCCA Comp hosted at H.A. - Next Saturday the team hosts the Big East Comp for the first time in 7 years, best of luck to the team, doors open at 3:30 PM at OTHS - come out and support the team!


The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams returned to action on Saturday, after a weekend off, in a 9 team meet at UMaine. The girls' team came away with a strong 4th place finish behind Bangor, Bucksport and Hampden, while the boys team finished 3rd behind only Bangor and Hampden. Individually for the girls, Olivia Lizzotte finished 1st in the Triple Jump and 3rd in the 55M, both personal bests, Ely Briggs was 1st in the High Jump and 5th in the Long Jump, Lucy Veilleux was 3rd in the Long Jump and 5th in the Triple Jump, while Lexi Wesley in the 800M, Olivia Barthelemy in the 400M and Kylee Murray in the Shot Put all finished 4th, Lily Heitmann was 5th in the 2 Mile and Crystal Thacker in the Shot Put and Liz Preble in the Mile finished 6th. Also, for the girls, the 4x800M Relay team of Preble, Meredith Cyr, Phoebe Yerxa & Heitmann finished 1st, and the 4x200M Relay team of Lizzotte, Mikayla Johnston, Barthelemy & Emily Wheeler was 3rd. For the boys, CJ Yanush was 1st in the Long Jump, Hayna Francis was 2nd in the Mile, Noah Briggs was 2nd in the Triple Jump, Cooper Neely was 3rd in the 400M, Kameron Plourde was 5th in the Mile, Parker Day was 6th in the Triple Jump and Kaiden Plourde was 6th in the 800M, while the 4x800M Relay team of Mason Choinere, DJ Davis, Noah Habtetsion & Max Ramos was 2nd and the 4x200M Relay team of Yanush, Neely, Kaiden Plourde & Francis was 3rd. The teams are off again next weekend before returning to the track on Jan. 25th.







The LMS Cheering squad made the journey to Brewer High School for the Tardiff Invitational on this snowy afternoon. The team finished 4th in a very tough division! Great job!


The LMS girls basketball teams got a glimpse at what the next level of the game looks like last night. The girls got the chance to practice alongside the OTHS Varsity squad to learn some new tips and tricks. Thank you to Coach Lanham, Coach Maxim and Coach Richards for inviting the girls up!


The LMS boys basketball teams were back in action tonight as they played host to Reeds Brook. Another exciting night of basketball ended with two L’s for the Coyotes. A team final 57-54 and the B team final 66-58. The boys will get another chance at Reeds Brook on Tuesday.


NPV Swim 🏊 in the wet stuff tonight at GSA w/JB joining - Successful trip as the teams swam great tonight with more State cut times being met by Libby Saucier, Evelyn Titus, Ian Aldrich, Alex Roach, Jack Marquis, Keely Kenny, and Maddy Gaylord. Girls and Boys teams both with the W!





Wrapping up a long week of basketball 🏀 at Mackenzie Gym - Boys welcomed Houlton for a fast paced exciting couple of basketball games - JV came to play with a 65-36 W over the Shiretowners - Varsity said "I like 65" and matched them 65-53 for the W, moving to 4-6 and in 6th place for heals!



OTO battling it out at the Alfond against Brewer - Close well played game on both sides of the ice 🧊- Witches pull away with a 1-0 W... JV in action currently!


LMS Boys basketball teams hosted Ellsworth at Old Town Elementary school this afternoon. The "B" team was up first and put on a thriller where teams stayed within 2 points for most the game. But in end the Eagles ended up on top 43-41. The "A" game picked up where the "B" game left off with both teams caught in a battle! The Eagles shooting ended up being to much for our Coyotes, falling 58-41. Boys have a quick turn around as they play host to Reeds Brook tomorrow.


Breaking LMS Athletic news: Todays Girls basketball game at Ellsworth has been postponed due to many Ellsworth players out sick. Make up date is TBD. Girls will practice after the boys game at OTES 6:15-7:15.


Girls turn again this week as Basketball 🏀 hosted a couple of schools today in Mackenzie. Brewer in town for a JV bout against the Coyotes and it came down to 1, 35-34 L - Varsity saw a game where everyone played and almost everyone scored as the Shiretowners came to Mackenzie - Girls move to 6-4 on the season with a 56-8 W



LMS Boys and Girls basketball team faced off against Cohen again on this chilly January afternoon. The girls team had another couple off tough losses. Final scores "A" team 56-18, followed by the "B" team 33-20. The boys finally played back on their home court where the "B" team made the game interesting going into the 2nd half, but ended with a 52-36 loss. The "A" pulled off another big 66-38. A warm place on a cold night as Mackenzie Gym heated up with a Big East battle between MDI and the Coyotes - 3 game series starting with the 1st team 71-40 L, JV next with a 63-39 W, and Varsity ending the night with a tight 67-52L.... back in action on Thursday...



Black Bears 🐻 hosting our friends from the North PI - some makeup Hockey 🏒 from last week, game settled out to a 7-1 L for the Black Bears as they came off a tough weekend of play.... Next game is Thursday at the Alfond as they welcome the Witches!


A couple of great Basketball 🏀 games in Mackenzie tonight as the Lady Yotes played host to MDI - JV battled to a 33-28 L - Varsity's tough D and great perimeter shooting earned a 46-24 W over top ranked MDI - moving to 5-4 on the season!

Busy Week in athletics for OTHS and LMS


🤼♂️ Mackenzie Gym looked a little different today as OTHS hosted its first wrestling meet in over 15 years as PCW welcomed Erskine, Messo, and Gardiner High School for a quad meet! We had a great opportunity to honor our Seniors, especially OTHS very own Robbie Murray. Fun and long day of wrestling! 🤼♀️








Boys Basketball 🏀 looking to repeat the success of the Girls team as they travel to the Hawks - 3 game day that saw 1st team L 75-35, JV team with a L 73-47, but Varsity pulling off a nail biter 42-40 W - moving to 3-5 on the season!
